TUONS PAMELA

Pamela Anderson, an icon shaped by the male gaze, becomes in Let’s Kill Pamela the mirror of a millennia-old system of domination. Starting from the hypersexualized imagery of the 1990s, two women on stage seize this fantasized body to reveal the underlying violence. They bring forth the voices of the absent: those of women murdered, erased, burned, or never born. Between performance and manifesto, the show questions the construction of femininity, the repetition of violence, and the possibility of rebirth through sisterhood and poetry.
After Slut Walk, presented at the Théâtre des Doms during the Festival OFF 2023, Celine Chariot Ninane continues her commitment with Let’s Kill Pamela. This new project turns the stage into a place of investigation and repair, where the image of the woman-object is overturned to become a figure of resistance.
Behind the media myth, it is about listening to stifled voices and making visible the collective memory of disappeared women.
