Théâtre
DES DOMS
Partnerships and management
History
Created in 2002 by Philippe Grombeer, the Théâtre des Doms has become an essential showcase for French-Belgian creation during the Avignon Festival. All year round, we support artists in the development of their projects, offering them a working space, a team to listen to them and financial support.
Our roots in Avignon make us a bridge between show business professionals and companies from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. We enable them to make themselves known while developing their distribution network.
Guided by the values of inclusiveness and sharing, we build and consolidate partnerships with local and international structures, particularly in Belgium, whose creations we actively promote.
Many thanks to all our partners for their continued confidence. Join us in discovering the places that bring culture to life!
Forging alliances, opening up spaces
Since 2024, we have strengthened our collaborations with cultural stakeholders across the region. These partnerships sustainably integrate French-speaking Belgian artists into French and cross-border distribution networks.
Dance has a special place at Les Hivernales - CDCN d'Avignon. French-speaking Belgian writing is promoted with La Chartreuse de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon and the Libraires du Sud network. Young and very young audiences benefit from collaborations with the Ligue de l'enseignement du Vaucluse and Le Totem. The circus flourishes via La Verrerie d'Alès - Pôle national cirque. The DRAC PACA supports our programmer days. Our links with Avignon's cultural venues(Utopia, AJMI, théâtres des Carmes, des Halles, Transversale, la Scierie, le 11...) confirm our local roots.
During the OFF Festival
For OFF 2026, this partnership dynamic is taking shape through three major collaborations:
-
A dance show, with Les Hivernales
-
Un spectacle d'arts de la rue, avec le Festival de Villeneuve-en-Scène
-
A show for very young audiences, with Le Totem
By turning the region into an extended stage, the Théâtre des Doms is affirming its vocation: to be a place of passage, encounter and influence for French-speaking Belgian creation at the heart of the French cultural landscape.
Théâtre des Doms is supported by the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles and Wallonie Bruxelles International.
