ET POURTANT LE SOLEIL SE LÈVE
Damien Trapletti
19h
After the death of a friend who was an actor, Damien Trapletti reflects on what drives a man to lose faith in life and, by extension, on the beliefs that society demands in order to belong.
On stage, he tells this story, embodying the voices of those around him and revealing the dominant narratives that structure our society: success, money, performance, isolation. The gesture of the deceased acts as a catalyst, exposing our contradictions and illusions. In this mirror-like theatre, each character becomes a symbol, each word questions our values.
“Anyway, we are but a speck of dust in this society about which we ask ourselves: Where is it going? To God or to the devil? And yet the sun rises!”
— Letter from Vincent Van Gogh to his brother Théo
Between laughter and vertigo, this performance challenges our illusions and forces us to confront what we truly believe in.
