DYKE INJECTION

This project explores the breaking point—both intimate and political—of becoming a dyke. It is built on an analogy between geological dykes, where molten magma cuts through rock faults, and the term “dyke,” a slur reclaimed by LGBTQIA+ communities as a symbol of pride, resistance, and visibility.
“Dyke Injection is the story of my dyke birth, which happened at 144 km/h on the A7. Between landslides, hitchhiking, car breakdowns on the highway, the midnight sun, changing routes, chance encounters, triangular sandwiches, and the discovery of the Ice Age, I tell how nothing will ever be the same again.”
